autoctona for the FAM store

Autoctona | FAM Store RET

autoctona releases its first capsule collection for a retailer, and we could have not been happier than to work with the frye art museum store in seattle. the collection features three styles, the slider, the marble ring and the pin. the slider is a take on the essence of the bolo and broken circle styles, and features hand dyed nylon ropes, metal slider and tips. it’s available in sterling silver and yellow bronze, and in solid black, midnight and grey|black fade. the pin is a completely new concept that takes inspiration from last century’s traditional pins, it’s crafted in black walnut and sterling silver. the marble ring is a further investigation on shape and texture, the ring features a sterling silver top. it’s available in nero marquina and calacatta marble, and in a round or square shape. please contact us directly for further information: studio@autoctona.net or the frye art museum: store@fryemuseum.org. we warmly thank rachael lang, the store manager, for her support in making this collaboration possible.

autoctona color palette | new fades

introducing seven new fades. they complete our palette color for 2014. the fades were developed playing around recurrent themes in the way we approach color, when creating our objects. pastels vs bolds, neutral vs saturation.

last custom | 18K gold wedding bands with a set black diamond

definitely one of my favorite custom projects i had the luck to design and develop. these stunning wedding bands are for a lovely NYC couple who’s just recently tied the knot. her engagement ring, which i designed last year, was the starting point for the concept behind his band. a theme i previously used in designing wedding rings, a geometrical shape, in this case the triangle is incorporated in hers as a vertical point, and in his as a small v cut. the two designs complement each others and idealistically unify the two objects into one. the shape conceived for her wedding band combines an half circle and half square into a single shape, a thick band with a black diamond set on the left hand corner.
